Smart travelers know that price comparison is the best way to score the best travel rates. After all, the more money we save, the more money we have for future trips. Another way to bargain shop for travel is picking up last-minute deals. And that’s where Directline Holidays come in. This is one website that allows travel shoppers to pick out some pretty delicious bargains. A quick peek at this site will reveal a long list of last-minute, all-inclusive travel bargains, city and ski trips, UK flights, hotels and other travel services including travel insurance. And don’t think these last minute deals are only a few days away. You can search months in advance to ensure for proper planning and often there are additional specials that make for excellent deals.
What type of vacations will you find on the site? We all have our dream travel destinations and as I was clicking through the site’s pages – going wild over some of the deals – I realized there are a lot of cool places I still want to visit. While this list is hardly exhaustive of the destinations on Directline Holidays, here are three destinations and hotels that I wouldn’t mind exploring.
1. Spain. The Aqua Montagut Hotel in the Costa Brava region has easy access to Santa Susanna beach. Guest rooms are appointed with luxury in mind and the terrace s are furnished with table and chairs. But the best part is the hotel is family-friendly with a playground, billiards, video games, a large swimming pool and a second smaller pool for children. There are even onsite entertainment shows, dancing, contests and other interactive events including a (drum roll, please) kid’s club program.
2. Switzerland. I stumbled upon the 1909 Sorell Hotel in Asora and after checking out the photos, I fell in love with the astounding views. Located in the centre of the village this hotel is only steps away from the town’s cable cars and ski lifts. The onsite Orelli Cocktail Bar sounds pretty nice for enjoying a glass of wine, too. If you desire luxury, check out the dreamy Steigenberger Belvedere in Davos. This hotel was built in 1875 but today has all of the amenities any 5-star hotel should have. Think updated facilities, pool, whirlpool, gym, saunas and a steam bath and much more. Even the hotel’s French restaurant Belvedere and the Romeo and Julia restaurant sound heavenly.
3. Majorcan. The Sea Club Alcudia hotel in the resort of Alcudia is another family-friendly settings. The rooms are spacious and the facilities look impressive. The resort has four outdoor swimming pools, a gym, Jacuzzi, solarium, sauna and on-site supermarket. This is another kid-friendly property with a kid’s club, interactive guest entertainment program during the day and lively night entertainment.
Tip: Late deals/cancellation deals often allow people to save several hundred off their costs when booking so keep an eye out for some of the site’s best rates to some of your dream travel locations. You might find some great bargains that you won’t be able to resist.
This is a sponsored post. Directline Holidays paid The Vacation Gals to write about its family-friendly travel booking website, but we have always appreciated and used websites that offer fantastic travel rates.
