Wow – how time flies! It seems like just yesterday SoCalGal Jennifer Miner, TwinCitiesGal Beth Blair and I were celebrating one year in business together. But today marks two years of publishing posts on TheVacationGals.com, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the content we’ve delivered, the places we’ve traveled and the relationships we’ve formed with other travel bloggers members of the travel industry.
Over the past year, we’ve shared our social-media and travel blogging knowledge at a number of industry events, from a Minneapolis Social Media breakfast, to the annual Travel Blog Exchange conference in Vancouver, to the recent North America Travel Journalists Association meeting in Anaheim. But for all three of us, family trips were the highlights of our travels over the past year. Some recent fun vacations included Jen’s trip to Italy, Beth’s week-long stay at a Montana ranch and Kara’s annual trip to her childhood state.

Also new for all Delta SkyMiles Cardmembers: 20 percent inflight savings discount on in-flight purchases like movies and meals. As always, a free checked bag on every Delta flight – up to a $50 savings per person on a round-trip ticket – is available for the Cardmember and up to eight people traveling in their reservation (that’s $200 for a family of four).
