Kigo: The Traveler’s All-Weather Shoes

If there is one thing I’ve learned about travel it’s that versatility goes a long way. The more uses you can get out of shoes or clothing the better, and Kigo footwear is a perfect example. Kigo shoes are the epitome of great travel shoes. They are extremely lightweight and made with durable upper materials and a flexible midsole (you can fold them in half) making for easy packing and comfortable wearing. Because they easily slip on and off they’re ideal for getting through airport security quickly.

Kigos have two styles, one being the cute Mary Jane called the Curv. The other is the sleek, unisex slip on called the Edge. Every pair has gray base and you can choose from accents in orange, green, white and black. Of course, you don’t have to save these savvy shoes for travel. I wear mine daily. My pair of Edges have become my official to-and-from the gym shoes since I need a lightweight slip-on for changing into my spin class shoes.

I love that Kigos can be worn for hiking and exploring as well as beach and other water activities. If your feet get wet, say you encounter a rain storm at Disney World or perhaps you’re going kayaking, your feet will stay clean and dry but your shoes won’t be ruined and they’ll dry-out quickly. My family could have benefited from¬† Kigo’s diversity during out hike up to the base of Niagara Falls when we encountered the rushing wall of water and ended up soaked from head to toe. As I’ve discovered, wearing Kigos here in Minnesota in the ice and snow, they are also very sturdy since they are designed with a high density rubber outsole (comparable to a hiking shoe) with non-slip grooves. These really are a great all-weather shoes!

Kigo footwear is also eco-friendly. Shoes and packaging are built with post-consumer and certified non-toxic products, EPA approved treatments, and biodegradable elements.

I couldn’t be more impressed with Kigos. It’s always fun to discover a new product and be absolutely¬† pleased with them – and that’s coming from someone who usually has a hard time finding shoes that fit comfortably. If you’re looking for some new all-weather shoes or simply a lightweight pair for your travels, I urge you to try a pair of Kigo footwear.

Thank you Kigo for allowing me to review your footwear. Keep up the great work!

Thanks for the tip. I always struggle with which shoes to bring on a trip, challenging myself to limit it to no more than 3: running shoes (which can double as walking-around shoes), semi-dressy sandals that are comfortable enough for walking around, and one pair of close-toed shoes nice enough to wear out at night and to restaurants. I’ll check out these shoes, as they might work in lieu of both a sandal and close-toed shoe!

My thoughts exactly that this shoe is great for a ‘pack light’ concept. Its versatile, take up less space and can be used for many different applications like hiking, running, walking AND going through airport security all in ONE trip? Amazing, looking forward to trying this out for myself.
