Like most new moms, Hollie Naddour’s life is hectic, and it doesn’t show any signs of slowing down. Her husband Alex, just returned home from Rio de Janeiro after winning a bronze medal at the Olympics for the USA Men’s Gymnastics Team. “We’re so proud of him, but we’re glad to have him home,” says Hollie.
Hollie and Alex were married last year and made their home in Arizona. Five months ago, little Lilah was born. Together, they tag team raising her, especially, Hollie says, during those months leading up to the Olympic Trials, and then the Olympics when Alex was training the most. “I would sleep with Lilah in the guest room so that Alex was able to get a good night’s sleep. Then in the morning, he would make us breakfast before he went to the gym.” At USA Youth Fitness Center where Alex trains and Hollie coaches young gymnasts, they tag team there too, but they have some help. “Alex’s dad and stepmom step in when we are busy. Lilah gets spoiled by everyone there.”
Alex’s stay at home won’t be for long. He’s gearing up for a two-month tour across the country with the rest of the USA Olympic Gymnastics Team in the Kellogg’s Tour of Gymnastics Champions. But before that, the Naddours are headed to Dallas where Hollie’s family lives for a quick visit.
