Are you looking for the perfect stocking stuffer for a traveler in your life? I have an idea for you.
Personally, I get a kick out of discovering little gifts that are useful, fun and just the right size to wedge in that stocking decorating the fireplace – especially if it’s travel related.
Safe Skies Luggage Locks, you guessed it, sells a terrific collection of luggage locks: key and combination. Because they are each TSA approved (each lock has a red torch symbol that communicates they are verified to be opened by TSA) you can can guarantee airline employees won’t cut the locks off if your bag needs to be inspected.
Safe Skies did not sponsor this post, but they did send me locks for my own use – and not with the expectation for me to review them on this blog. However, I found them to be terrific and they are the perfect traveler’s stocking stuffer and that is what inspired this post. The three I have are:
1. TSA Padlock. These are the traditional small key locks and are ideal for small luggage and for those who hate memorizing a lock combination.
2. Global Heavy Duty4 Dial TSA Lock. This combination lock allows you to set your own code and I love that they have jumbo dials. But what I really like about them is that they come in an array of colors and patterns (see photo above). Plus, they stand out on your suitcase and they look cute.
3. The BoomerangIt. This no doubt my favorite (see to the left). It’s a padlock, but the fantastic feature about this model is a little lock symbol visually tell you if the lock was opened or not. What’s even better, the TSA Lock includes complimentary Lifetime BoomerangIt recovery service. A serial number is registered to BoomerangIt, which means if you lose your bag, the lock will help get your bag returned to your possession. As someone who has experienced lost airlines luggage, I think the BoomerangIt recovery service is an extremely helpful feature.
Do you have a favorite stocking stuffer for a traveler? We’d love to hear about it.
Happy Holidays and Safe Travels!
