Red Lion Hotel Anaheim Offers $99 Rooms – Plus Parking & Breakfast

Here’s a pretty sweet deal for any families planning a trip to Disneyland from now until the end of February, 2012. The Red Lion Hotel Anaheim, just a block from Disneyland, is offering “Making Memories Magical” package: room rates at an incredible $99/night, plus a breakfast buffet for the entire family and free parking at the hotel. Just book by December 31, 2011 and stay at the property before February 28, 2012.

While I’ve never experienced this property firsthand, my colleague SoCalGal Jennifer Miner overnighted there during the North American Travel Journalists Association meeting earlier this year. She reports the Red Lion Hotel Anaheim is not only a clean and comfortable hotel for families, but it’s incredibly convenient, too. There’s an Anaheim Resort Transit shuttle that can pick you up outside the main entrance of the hotel and drop you off at the main entrance of Disneyland Resort (to access the Disneyland Park, California Adventure and Downtown Disney). But since the theme park is only a block away, you can also simply walk right to the gate!

The 310 guest rooms are recently renovated. Sleek and stylish, the rooms with two queen beds are plenty big for a family of four (remember, you’re in Southern California with all of its attractions for kids – you won’t be spending that much time inside your hotel room). Some rooms face Disneyland Park and you can view nightly fireworks from the windows. Each room conveniently has a small microwave and refrigerator – great for storing snacks and drinks. Plus, wireless internet is free!

Amenities at the hotel include an outdoor heated swimming pool, a fitness center and a really cool outdoor lounging area, with comfortable couches and a fire pit. Red’s Pasta Kitchen is the casual on-site Italian restaurant that welcomes families; Cafe2Go offers take-out drinks, snacks and light meals. Pancakes, bagels, fruit, juices, cereal, pastries and more are available at the morning breakfast buffet ($9.95 per adult when the $99 package isn’t available; kids eat free with one paying adult).

Indeed, if you’re planning a trip to Anaheim in the coming months, I’d certainly look into booking this great promotional package at Red Lion Hotel Anaheim. A conveniently located accommodations and some Disney magic… sounds good to me!
