Scentsy: Travel Air Freshener

Traveling with air freshener was something I began doing when I started packing as a flight attendant. I encountered lavatories and musty hotel rooms frequently enough that air freshener was well worth packing. Last year I was introduced to the wonderful Scentsy brand. I ordered a ceramic warmer for my kitchen and was beyond excited to be able to ditch my traditional candles since I have two rambunctious and curious children running around the house. Since plugging in my warmer I haven’t looked back. The scented cubes are long-lasting, easy to use and my home’s scent changes with the season.

It ends up, we travelers can also take the pretty fragrances on the road with us. I know many flight attendants pack scented candles for their hotel rooms. I was never comfortable with that – I’ve set off more than my share of hotel smoke alarms with iron steam. I didn’t need a candle to do that, too. Luckily, Scentsy has found a way to freshen the smell of a hotel room, car, luggage and even airplane lavatory(!).

Scentsy Travel Tins are compact tins with a sliding lid; think lip balm but without having to dip your finger in. They won’t break the bank at only $5 each and make great gifts. Scentsy sent me a few samples to review and I’m in love! The Baked Apple Pie scent smells like the comfort of home (I haven’t opened the Ocean scent yet, but I’m sure it’s lovely) and the best part is you can control how strong the scent is by how far you open the tin top. The Travel Tins are best for open rooms or the car. This product is available in 29 scents and, don’t worry, TSA won’t give you a hard time because the tins meet the 3-1-1 carry-on requirements.

Scent Paks are extremely versatile since all you have to do is throw it in your luggage or under your car seat. That’s easy air freshening! Speaking of flight attendants, we have a trick of hanging coffee grounds in aircraft lavatories to diminish the smell. These little packs will do the trick, too, and they smell really good – I can vouch for the Vanilla Cream and Honey Pear Cider.

If you’re looking for an inexpensive way to freshen your car, hotel room or luggage I suggest you look into Scenty’s on-the-go options and the home products are wonderful, too!

Stay tuned for a giveaway hosted by Scentsy.

Thank you Scentsy for introducing me to your travel items!

On my last trip, the smell of smoke in one of our hotel rooms was overwhelming – something like this would have been great. Thanks for the heads up!

The smell of smoke in a hotel room is miserable! Sorry you had to endure that.

Yes, this is great for going on a Cruise as well, because they, the cruise lines, really don’t like candles and any open flames aboard, solves that issue!

    Thanks for sharing. :-)

I can see the attraction, but I always like the sights, sounds and smells of wherever I am in the world. I appreciate that some people might find certain fragrances hard to stomach!
