Water Park of America, Radisson and Mr. Bubble’s 50th Birthday Bash

A few weeks ago I announced the exciting news that Mr. Bubble would be celebrating his 50th Birthday at the Water Park of America which is a short jaunt from the Mall of America. My family knew this weekend would be fun, but the party exceeded our expectations. This was not only our first visit to this popular water park but my family also had the opportunity to stay at the on-site Radisson with a handful of other bloggers and their families.

What a spectacular event! To start, my children have a hobby of collecting photos of themselves with characters, and this weekend we were able to added a couple shots to their photo books. We met Mr. Bubble!

As parents, we were impressed with the Radisson. As my husband opened our hotel room door the kids asked if they were going to get their own room. My husband and I responded in unison, “No.”  Turned out, we were wrong. This Radisson is ideal for families, even if you have more than two children, as in our room configuration, a small cove held two bunk beds (yes, four beds total), a dresser and a mini flastscreen TV over the door. The kids were thrilled to have their own space. The hotel room was comfortable and spacious. We especially appreciated the refrigerator and microwave. As for our view, we were lucky to have a balcony overlooking the water park, specifically Flow Rider Surf Simulator. When we woke we saw Mr. Bubble showing off his surfing moves.

The Mr. Bubble 50th Birthday Bash was non-stop fabulous. The morning kicked off with the World’s Largest Bubble Bath – local Fox 9 News even showed up to share the celebration with the world.

Kids had their own a bubble beard station…

The children swam, rode a number of waterslides and met the Water Park of America mascot Hobey.

The Radio Disney crew played lively music, kept the crowd dancing, hosted games with attendees and gave away prizes.

One of the prizes was Mr. Bubble t-shirts.

The pink birthday cupcakes were divine…

The Mr. Bubble Cake was the most impressive detail of the day.

What I learned this weekend, besides that Mr. Bubble looks great at 50: Mr. Bubble products don’t stop with the classic bubble bath; there’s  also hand soap, bubble bombs, bath foam and bath gel.

There is also an entire line of grownup products, too.

Thank you to the Radisson, Water Park of America and Mr. Bubble for a memorable weekend. We were honored to get to celebrate this major milestone with this American icon. There’s something special about having your children grow up with a memory that was also a part of your childhood and for us that memory is Mr. Bubble.
