We’ve had such fun giving away free nights at worldwide Hyatt properties over the past few months… and we’re doing it again! But first an update on what’s new with Hyatt:
Respire by Hyatt Hypoallergenic Rooms: Hyatt is rolling out certain rooms in all of its North American and Caribbean properties that are specially designed for guests who suffer from asthma, allergies and other respiratory sensitivities. In total, 125 Hyatt hotels will have rooms by PURE (more than 2,000 rooms total), which uses these state-of-the-art purification techniques. From marketing materials:
Each hotel room is treated comprehensively to minimize allergens and irritants from all surfaces and fabrics. Additionally, all mattresses and pillows are encased in a protective hypo-allergenic covering. The air in the room is continuously circulated through a medical grade purifier, filtering out up to 99 percent of impurities. The room is maintained and re-certified every six months. For Hyatt guests, this means the air in Respire by Hyatt rooms on average is 10 times more pure than outside air due to lower particulate counts.

Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Resort: check out the Hyatt Gold Passport Facebook page for a suggested itinerary while staying at this Maryland property.
Facebook Itineraries: Check out the Hyatt Gold Passport Facebook page and the Hyatt Resorts page; in the Notes section of each, you’ll find some vacation itineraries compiled by on-site concierges. They offer tips on where to eat and what to do — both on and off site the property. Right now, cities covered include St. Louis, Santa Fe and Washington, D.C., with 10 on each page rolling out through the end of the year.
The Great 10K: Now through December 15, if you enroll in the Hyatt Gold Passport loyalty program, you’ll earn 10,000 bonus points for every five nights you stay at any Hyatt property. I realize that if you haven’t already booked a vacation as of today — November 1 — it might be tough to get in your five nights before December 15. But perhaps you have a business trip (or your spouse might be traveling) in the next six weeks and you could choose to stay at a Hyatt over some other property to earn those points — worth at least one free night, maybe more, depending on the hotel for which you’d like to apply those bonus points.
In celebration of these fun initiatives from Hyatt, we’re also giving away 10,000 points to apply to your next Hyatt vacation — again, that’s at least one night’s stay at Hyatt hotels worldwide.
You can enter this giveaway two different ways:
- Leave a comment below telling us where you’d use your 10,000 Hyatt Gold Passport points — the name of the hotel and the city in which it’s located.
- Tweet the following: I just entered to win 10,000 Hyatt Gold Passport points from @thevacationgals: http://tinyurl.com/22k2zh8 Then tell us you did in a comment below.
You can enter both ways daily — that’s up to two chances a day — through 6 p.m. PDT, November 9. We’ll generate a comment number via Random.org, and announce the winner on Winning Wednesday, November 10. Immediate family members of The Vacation Gals aren’t eligible; you must be 18 and older to enter. Good luck!
Hyatt has provided me with 10,000 points in exchange for running this giveaway on The Vacation Gals. My last stay at a Hyatt property? The Andaz Wall Street in New York City.
