Win $100 in Dining Cash

My seven-state road trip has come to an end, but I’m guessing there are loads of American families who are still planning their vacations this summer. If you’re one of them, consider the Country Inns & Suites By Carlson Sizzling Summer Savings promotion, where you get 15 percent off stays of three nights or more. Families who book now also get a $25 Dining Cash redemption card to save money on a meal while they’re staying at a Country Inns & Suites. To redeem them, you can search for participating area restaurants online, enter your card code and print out a voucher for your savings.

The generous folks at Carlson have given me $300 in Dining Cash cards to give to The Vacation Gals readers. All you have to do to enter to win your share — I’ll give three lucky commenters $100 in Dining Cash cards each — is leave a comment below telling me one place I visited on my 1K Country Adventure. It can be a city, state or attraction.

I’ll accept entries through Tuesday, June 22, at 6 p.m. (PDT) and announce winners on Winning Wednesday, June 23. U.S. mailing addresses only; enter no more than once a day. No immediate family members of The Vacation Gals are eligible. Cards expire August 31, 2010. Good luck!

You saw the St. Louis’ Gateway arch on your trip. I’ve never seen it myself but always wonder how high it really is so hopefully I’ll see it in person one day myself too :)

I thought your comments about Madison were funny. As a proud Midwesterner I love when people “discover” our oft-overlooked part of the country. I’m also glad you got to “do” the Arch. It’s really incredible.

The North Point Lighthouse! That seemed like the coolest stop to me! We could really use some dining cash for our upcoming road trip! :)

What fun it must have been to take a mystery trip! My family (especially me) would love it! While in Chicago, one of MY favorite foodie cities, you indulged on pizza at Giordano’s and ices at Mario’s Italian Lemonade Stand and then spent the night at The Country Inn and Suites By Carlson Madison West in Naperville, IL. Dining cash sure would be great for our upcoming family roadtrip from FL to Asheville, NC! I SO enjoyed following your cool family trip!!
