Ideas for the Active Female Traveler

coobieA go-to travel packing checklist is something every traveling female should have. Of course, this list should have the basics like comfortable shoes, personal water bottle, and reliable backpack. The longer I travel the more I notice what can be improved and find myself tweaking my personal travel packing list.

For example, I love wearing camisoles and tank tops under my clothes but I find that when I go south in the summer, to places like Florida, Texas, Mexico or even on a tropical cruise, I get too hot. What’s a traveler to do?

Well, that’s where Coobie come in. I was recently introduced to the Coobie Seamless Bra ($18-$22), a one-size-fits-all for women sizes 32A to 36D. One size? Really? Yes, it really is. Honesty, at first look I thought, this isn’t going to fit me but being that it is made from a soft nylon and lycra blend means it stretches well and really does fit, perfectly and oh, so comfortably. There are a couple of options and I chose the lace trim. Now it’s my go-to for a cami and bra and even works if I don’t want to button up a blouse all of the way. You’d never know I wasn’t wasn’t a cami. Coobie Seamless Bras come in standard black, nude and white as well as fun colors like lush red, orange, navy, pink, hot pink, grey, grass and whimsical animal and stripe prints. The best part, they’re ideal for light impact workouts like walking or yoga.

dermasportLet me start this idea off by saying that while I love makeup I have never had really good luck with skincare products. I have very sensitive, allergic skin so I pretty much stick with a bar of Olay soap. However, I recently received a pack of Dermasport, a new skincare line created specifically for athletes or those with an active lifestyles. The collection includes: Athletic Face Wash (for oily, normal and dry skin), Athletic Clarifying Toner Mist, Age Defense Moisturizer, and the Multi Tasking Eye Cream. Now that I’m back in the after-baby running groove I’ve notice that I’m getting some breakouts due to sweating and my bar of soap simply didn’t seem to be enough (that’s why I said yes to this review).

Hesitantly, I gave Dermasport a try (please don’t react, skin!) and after the first use I was hooked. I opted for the dry skin formula and used it for the first time at night. I woke in the morning and my skin felt so soft, wasn’t dry, and since I’ve been using it I haven’t had any breakouts. The best part, it is made with natural ingredients which is likely why I didn’t have any negative reactions to the products. It also has a light citrus based scent that is really nice, as oftentimes skincare scents really annoy or both me (or my husband) especially at night. Overall, I do recommend these products and appreciate getting the chance to review them. It’s always exciting to find something new that I can share with our readers – and add to my personal travel checklist.

These products were sent to me for review purposes but as always thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.
